David Haddad graduated from SJS in 2001, the year the school graduated the first batch of students following the new curriculum. As soon as he moved the tassel to the other side of his cap, David went on vacation for 15 days to explore one of the most charming European countries, France. During his stay, David was exposed to France’s culture and seductive lifestyle which influenced his beliefs and left a trace in him.

David’s interest in building websites and browsing the net encouraged him to move to Canada and study Software Engineering at the University of Ottawa. Although the internet is still his center of attention, David is interested in user interface design, information retrieval techniques, machine learning, search engines, search engine optimization, and online marketing. “I really admire companies such as Amazon, Google, and Paypal; I hope that one day I will be able to build a successful business model that will truly change the way we do things”.

David spent two years studying in Canada and is currently spending his third year at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. “I think that the more exposure you get to the world the more you realize that we are all one”.

David will be moving to New York City after Stockholm. He will be working at a startup micropayments company that enables people to sell and buy low cost products on the internet ($0.10 to $10.00). Although such schemes have been tried unsuccessfuly in the past, David believes the market is now ready for them.

David would very much like to stay in touch with the SJS Alumni. He can be reached at and added on the MSN Messenger through 1@davixo.com. Visit David’s website at www.davixo.com.
