Saouma BouJaoude
After leaving SJS in 1984 Saouma moved to the US for graduate school and finished a PhD in Science Education in 1998.
He then joined Syracuse University in the Department of Science Teaching from 1988 until 1993.
Right after Syracuse Souma came back to Lebanon to teach at the American University of Beirut.
Since then he spent one year in Yemen (1991-1992) as a curriculum design specialist with an education reform project funded by United States
Agency for International Development (USAID).
In 2000 he spent one year in Egypt as Education Advisor with the New School Project, funded by USAID.
Currently, Saouma is the Director of the Science
and Math Education center at AUB.
Saouma has a wonderful house in Jouret-El-Ballout with tons of delicious grapes when they are in season.
