Rodolphe Katra

Rodolphe Katra was an SJS student for all of his initial schooling; all the way from KG1 up until his graduation in 1994 with an Experimental Sciences degree. Shortly after that, he started his undergraduate college education at the American University of Beirut, in the college of Arts and sciences, majoring in premedical biology. In 1996, Rodolphe transferred out of AUB to Louisiana Tech University (Ruston, Louisiana) in the USA to major in Biomedical Engineering. He graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Sciences and joined Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio) to complete his graduate training. There, he received his Master of Science in Biomedical engineering, specializing in Cardiac Electrophysiology and imaging. After that, Rodolphe completed his doctoral training in 1999 at Case Western Reserve University and received a PH.D. in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in cardiac arrhythmogenesis, hemodynamics and pathophysiology. He is currently an adjunct research professor of BioEngineering at the University of Illinois in Chicago where he teaches cardiac imaging and bioengineering principles. He is also a senior scientist at Medtronic Inc. where he researches and develops novel therapeutic solutions to fatal cardiac diseases. On a more personal note, Rodolphe recently got married to his lovely Stacie, whom he met during undergraduate schooling. The wedding was held in Lebanon on June 10, 2006. Rodolphe and Stacie currently reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota and are looking forward to adding a baby to their little family.
